Economy

Yavatmal City is the chief trading centre in the district, Ginning Factories, Oil and
Pulse Mills and Saw Mills are located in the city.
MIDC Lohara is the major industrial area includes the Raymond's factory
which produces the Jeans Fiber. It is 100% export unit from Raymond's,
which is a famous clothes brand.
Yeotmal is one of the major produser of cotton in the state, Cotton-ginning and
pressing are carried on.
Other local businesses in town are dominated by presence of agricultural
supply facilities which are very useful for the nearby farmer community.
New generation is joining the workforce of 21st century slowly and there
are a number of computer learning centers and educational institutes.

Yavatmal Industrial Area is one of the best industrial areas of M.I.D.C., developed with the main objective to promote industrial growth and attract Industrialist & entrepreneurs for investments in the region.

Location Detail

Additional Yeotmal Industrial Area is centrally located. It is situated 7 kms from Yeotmal City & is on the state highway passing Yeotmal Darwha Road.

Access:
The industrial area is easily accessible by road, rail and air transport. Several means of transport facilities from city to Industrial Area is available. State transport buses going through the Industrial Area can be stopped as there is a request stop of M.S.R.T.C. Narrow-gauge, railway facilities is available from Yeotmal to Murtizapur which further connects the entire country's network.

Fire Station --> A Fire station building has been constructed to handle fire problem.

Education --> Education facilities like as primary school, High school its English/ Mariathi Medium, college of Engineering are available in Yeotmal city.

Hospitals --> There is a Govt. Medical Hospital & College of Allopathic, Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital is also available in Yavatmal.

Electocity --> 33 Kv MSEB sub-station specially built for MIDC area is existing in MIDC.

Water --> M.I.D.C. has constructed own water supply scheme for 8 MLD of water to the Addl. Yeotmal Indl.Area.

Roads --> M.I.D.C. has constructed 4.6 Kms. W.B.M. roads to developing the Addl, Yeotmal Industrial Area with road side gutter.

Connectivity --> Electronic telephone exchange is at Yeotmal Indl.Area having capacity at 250 lines. Telephone facilities are available in Yeotmal city & Indl. Area.
