Jawaharlal Darda |

Shree Jawaharlal Darda was born in Babhulgon on 2 july 1923, he was freedom fighter,
he started the the freedom struggle 1940 by taking part in the Individual Satyagraha
Movement as per stated by Mahatma Gandhi, he led the foot march of about 400 miles.
In 1942 he took part in the "Quit India Movement" for which, he was imprisoned for a
period of One year and Nine month, when he was in Jabalpur jail, he arranged meet of
Satyagrahis.
He started the handwritten "Sinha Garjana" so that the knowledge of Satyagraha reches
to all pepole. In 1944 he established the Azad Hind Sena's Yeotmal branch.
In 1945, he started the "Young Man Association" with his friends.
In 1947, he started a weekly called "Nave jag".
In 1952, he restarted "Lokmat" weekly in Yeotmal.
He natured a special love on Yeotmal, such a glorias Yeotmalkar passed away on
25th November 1997. |

Dr. Madhusudhan Sidhanath Kane |

16th July 1923, Masiha was born to Yeotmal, his name was Madhusudhan Sidhanath Kane. he went Banaras for study, he got the Degree of "Ayurvedacharya with Modern Medicine & Surgery". in 1947 He started practice in Yeotmal, he took nominal fees from his patients, he never asked money from his patients nor counted the money he took, he allways prescribed very inexpensive medicines to his patients, he gave money to those patients who didnt have safficient money to buy medicines, in 2002 he wrote his autobiography "Gangajaldhara". such a glorias Yeotmalkar passed away on 5th August 2009.

Loknayak Bapuji Aney |

Bapuji Aney was born on 29th August 1880 in Vani, he was shifted to Yeotmal in 1907. the rules formulated by British Government on forest were against the people, therefore he started the Jungle Satygraha, he established worrier group of District, 312 Satyagrahi were imprisoned, due to the success of the Satyagraha, He bestowed Title "Loknayak" by people. In 1941 Loknayak Aney was joined to the council of Viceroy. from 1943 to 1947 he was appointed High commissioner of Sree Lanka, Jawaharlal Nehru wanted him to be amongst the members who drafted the constitution, but often some period, he was apoined the Governor of Bihar, in the past Independent period he started his struggle for "MahaVidarbha". |
